What is Bowl for Kids' Sake?
Bowl for Kids' Sake is about having fun to help kids. It is our most important fundraising event. Funds raised go directly toward matching children ages 6-14 with carefully-screened, caring Big Brother and Big Sister volunteers.
Why should I get involved?
You are saving a life! The money that you raise will provide guidance and support for at-risk children through our mentoring program. These one-to-one mentoring relationships between caring adults and children have documented positive outcomes.
In fact, children enrolled in Big Brothers Big Sisters programs are:
• 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs
• 27% less likely to begin using alcohol
• 52% less likely to skip school
• 37% less likely to skip class
How do I participate?
Form a Bowl team! Invite four of your colleagues, friends, neighbors and/or family members to join your bowling team. Designate a team captain from your five person team. The team captain is responsible for registering your team via the web, fax or email.
To register via the web, go to www.bfksnwa.kintera.org and go to the register now link. To register via fax or email, call 479-966-4366 or send an e-mail to bgulley@bbbsnwa.org and request a Team Captain Form.
Once you have completed the form, fax or email it to 479-966-4382 or bgulley@bbbsnwa.org. The team captain is also responsible for encouraging and supporting each team member to raise a minimum of $100 per person.
To raise $100, just get 10 of your friends, neighbors, co-workers and family members to donate $10!!
